Myanmar Golden Temple
The magnificent Burmese-style golden pagoda in the Lumbini Monastic Zone.
Inspired by the iconic Shwedagon Pagoda of Yangon, the Myanmar Golden Temple (Mahamuni Myanmar Monastery) features a towering golden stupa that glistens in the sunlight. It is one of the oldest and most established monasteries in Lumbini, constructed with traditional Burmese craftsmanship. The interior is richly decorated with murals depicting scenes from the life of the Buddha, and a large Mahamuni-style Buddha image takes center stage in the prayer hall. The tranquil environment is ideal for meditation and silent reflection.
